GOOD THINGS COME WHEN LEFT TO FATE
We've all heard it or said it at one point or another. "You'll find what you're looking for when you stop looking for it." As sick as I had grown of hearing this from friends and family, it could not have been more true the day that Jason Grimes entered my life. He lived in Memphis, I lived in Chicago, but a chance meeting in my hometown of St. Louis would change both of our lives forever. We both decided that distance would not stand in the way of seeing where things would go between us, and after a year of flying back and forth for both of us, Jason felt brave enough to pack up and head north to Chicago where we moved into a dreadful little apartment together and began building a life together. After 8 more years of learning, laughing, growing, and most importantly loving, Jason decided to upgrade me from partner to husband. We could not feel more grateful that both of us stopped looking and allowed fate to give us not only what we wanted but also what we needed...each other.
